Dear Families,


Here are some reminders for this week:


1. Mrs. McLean’s and Mr. Dhaliwal’s classes are heading to the Wildlife Park Monday.


2. Ms. Parker’s and Ms. Simpson’s classes are  going to Westsyde Pool Monday afternoon.


3. Mrs. Bertoncini’s class is off to Robbins Range all day Tuesday.


4. Mrs. Bale’s and Ms. Kovacs’ classes are holding an open house Tuesday evening to share their learning about Wildfires.


5. June’s Recognition Assembly is Wednesday morning at 8:45.


6. Mrs. Bertoncini’s class is hosting a Presentation of Learning Wednesday evening.


7. Ms. Simpson’s and Ms. Day’s classes are going to the Vernon Waterslides all day Thursday.


8. Mrs. Hawkings class is heading to Rainbow’s Roost on Friday.


9. The grade 7 students are going to Westsyde Secondary Friday from 9 to 1 for Whunda Day.


Upcoming/Reminders:


  • The last day of school for students is Thursday, June 28th. Students will be dismissed at 12:00 pm on this day.

  • Arthur Stevenson’s Fun Day is Tuesday, June 26th. All students will be participating in  mixed grade groupings. A concession is available for all students.

Dear Families,


  • I will be away from the school on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week as I am undergoing a medical procedure and will not be available by phone or email. Deanna Steptoe, the current vice principal of Lloyd George, will be covering for my absence during these three days. Deanna can be contacted by email at dsteptoe@sd73.bc.ca.

  • I found out on Friday that I will not be returning to Arthur Stevenson next year, as I moving to Dallas Elementary. A new principal has not yet been appointed to Arthur Stevenson for next year. I feel honoured to have served the students and families at Arthur Stevenson during these last three years and will miss working with all of you.


1. Ms. Sorensen’s and Mrs. Bale’s classes are heading to the Wildlife Park Monday.


2. Ms. Kovacs’ and Mrs. Bale’s classes are going to the Kamloops Airport on Tuesday.


3. Ms. Parker’s class is heading to the Hamlets in Westsyde Tuesday morning.


4. Mrs. Finley’s, Mr. Scott’s and Mrs. Drobot’s classes are leaving for Eagle Bay Wednesday. Students will return to school on Friday and will be dismissed at 12 upon their arrival back at Arthur Stevenson.


5. Ms. McLean’s, Mr. Dhaliwal’s, and Mrs. Bertoncini’s classes are going to McQueen Lake on Thursday.


6. Ms. Parker’s class is going to Big Little Science Centre Friday morning.

Dear Families,

ASES will be a busy place in June. Here are the reminders for the first week of our last month!

1. Kindergarten Orientation takes place Monday morning at 9:00. Parents please bring your incoming kindergarteners to the front office.

2. Our last PAC meeting of the year is Monday evening at 6:30. As always, childminding is available free of charge.

3. All students will get the opportunity to participate in golf lessons through the Playground to Fairway program this Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday on our school field.

4. Mr. Scott’s and Mrs. Drobot’s classes are heading to Westsyde Pool Tuesday afternoon.

5. Four of our students will be attending a day long Robotics Tournament on Wednesday.

6. Mr. Scott’s and Mrs. Drobot’s classes are heading to Westsyde Pool Thursday afternoon.

7. Grade 6 immunizations are Friday.

Dear Families,

Here are the reminders for this week!

1. Ms. Kipp is hosting a Book Fair in the Library from Monday to Thursday this week.

2. Mrs. Drobot’s and Mr. Scott’s classes are off to Westsyde Pool Monday afternoon.

3. Our May Recognition Assembly is Tuesday morning at 8:45.

4. Ms. Sorensen’s and Mrs. Head’s classes are off to Isobel Lake on Wednesday.

5. Mrs. Hawkings’ class is off to McQueen Lake Thursday.

6. Mrs. Drobot’s and Mr. Scott’s classes are off to Westsyde Pool Thursday afternoon.

7. Our current Safe Arrival program ends on Thursday. I sent out an email last week with information for how to connect with the district’s new Student Absence program, which will start June 1st.

8. Mr. Dhaliwal’s and Mrs. Bertoncini’s classes are off to the Big Little Science Centre Friday morning.

9. Mrs. Finley’s class is off to Westsyde Pool Friday.

Dear Families,

I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend, this was the last four day week until the end of the year!

Here are the reminders for this week!

1. Eureka! Science is here Wednesday and Thursday this week to present to our students in their classrooms.

2. Our Aboriginal Girls Group will be having a year-end celebration on Wednesday.

3. Our Flag Football players will conclude their season on Thursday at the Jamboree. The Jamboree lasts all day, so our players will be away from school all day Thursday.

4. PAC organized hot lunch (Senor Froggy’s) is this Friday.

Upcoming/Reminders:


  • Ms. Kipp will be holding a Book Fair next week from Monday to Thursday (May 28-31) to raise funds for the Library.

  • Our May Recognition Assembly is Tuesday, May 29th at 8:45 am.
