    Dear Families,

A quick reminder about the PAC’s Gift Card Fundraiser. To regsiter under Arthur Stevenson Elementary please  go to this website: http://www.fundscrip.com/Sign-Up.aspx?IID=X4BZMN

Here are some reminders for this upcoming week:

    2. Both the Tier 1 Boys and Girls teams play Thursday at Brock. The boys play at 3:30 and the girls play their semi-final game at 4:30.

    3. On Wednesday, our school will host a team of 24 educators as our school takes part in a process called Instructional Rounds. The educators will spend the morning in certain classrooms observing student learning, looking for specific ways to help our school address how staff can help students improve their perseverance when engaging in challenging school tasks.

    4. First term report cards will go home Friday. Please take the time to read your child’s report card with your child, highlighting the positives and reflecting on how improvements could be made. Next Thursday, December 8th will be an early closure at our school, so that teachers and parents can meet in the afternoon to discuss students’ growth in learning. If you would like to meet your child’s teacher, please call the school or email your child’s teacher directly.

    5.  Next Monday, December 5th, is a non-instructional day, so there will be no school for students on this day.

    Have a super week!

    Dear Families,

Thanks to all the families who attended PAC’s Halloween Family Dance last Friday night. It was wonderful to see so many kids out busting a move!

This Monday is our ‘soft’ start for the new Safe Arrival program at Arthur Stevenson. By now, you should have received an email from the Safe Arrival system with instructions for how to access the system and the steps you take to call in your child’s absence. Please begin using this system as soon as possible by calling in your child’s absence before 8:30 am.

Here are some reminders for this upcoming week:

    1. Halloween is this Monday. Students are encouraged to dress up in orange and black for the day. No costumes please. There will be a Halloween Dance for students in grades 4 to 7 in the afternoon. Primary classes will have fun crafts and activities to do in the afternoon.

    2. Please don’t send candy to school with your kids starting on Tuesday. A late night to start the week coupled with bursts of sugar could make for challenging days of school for our students.

    3. Boys’ volleyball on Tuesday: Tier 1 team travels to RLC and tier 2 team travels to Juniper.

    4. On Thursday our grade 7 leadership students are off to Vancouver for Me-to-We with Mr. Scott.

    5. Girls’ volleyball on Thursday. Tier 1 game is cancelled. Tier 2 team hosts in our gym.

    Have a terrific week!
